This course will cover the sensory systems and differences in autistic children and young people and explain how this affects other areas of their communication, interaction, responses to the environment and access to learning.
Ruth will explain:
how to recognise and support sensory needs, how to access assessments and build a sensory diet into your child’s routine.
how to use sensory activities to support emotional regulation and learning and how to adapt your environment and activities.
how to support wellbeing, independence and happiness in your child.
