Family Wellbeing & Parent Esteem – Tuesday 13th July, 10am-11.30am
Do you look after your own wellbeing when you have children who need you to fight for them and support them 24/7? Carer burnout, depression and anxiety is a huge unmet need in many families and you often put yourself to the bottom of the list when there are so many other demands on your time. We want to help you find ways of looking after your own wellbeing, so come and find out more.
This interactive presentation and workshop will be delivered by Catherine Dobson from CD Psychology Ltd. Catherine had developed a visual wellbeing assessment tool for carers and families where they have children with additional needs, either at school or adults living with them. She is currently working with Lancaster University to develop it into an interactive app.
Catherine will talk to us about what we know about family wellbeing when caring for children with SEND, autism and dealing with the challenges of getting them the help they need. She will examine the challenges to your esteem as a parent and give tips to build your own and your family’s wellbeing.
All people buying a ticket will get access to the recording of the webinar for 7 days and so do buy a ticket even if you cannot attend the session on the day.
