Autism, Anxiety and Behaviour

Who is it for

Primary, Secondary and Special school staff.  Parents and other agencies who work with autistic children and young people.  

This course will cover

• What is the link between autism and anxiety.
• Looking at the science and physiology of anxiety.
• Examining behaviour, that challenges us and behaviour that doesn’t.
• How we can ‘read’ behaviour to understand the anxiety.
• What we can change to support the child or young person.
• Teaching about emotions and sensory regulation.
• Developing a ‘well-being toolkit’.
• A chance to look at resources and discuss what support you can develop in your setting.
